WesTEC Trade Training Centre along with partnered Registered Training Organisations and Industry partners aims to achieve positive educational outcomes for Years 10, 11 and 12 students undertaking vocational certificate training.
Studying a vocational program at WesTEC Trade Training Centre gives students the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications that count toward their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
WesTEC partners with seven local schools (Woodcrest State College, Redbank Plains State High School, Forest Lake State High School, Springfield Central State High School, Bundamba State Secondary College, Bellbird Park State Secondary College and Ripley Valley State Secondary College) to provide specialised vocational training. The fields WesTEC currently offer are Automotive, Construction, Plumbing, Electrotechnology, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Salon Assistant & Barbering, Retail Cosmetics, Health Services, Health Administration, Community Services (Childcare Stream), Justice Studies, Aviation, Logistics and Infrastructure & Resources.
WesTEC Trade Training Centre is a modern, well-equipped facility where students can undertake accredited Certificate I, Certificate II, Certificate III and Certificate IV training while at school.
